A welded-aluminum armature 4.5 m by 2.2 m, assembled as a branching lattice that reads alternately as river-delta, blood-vessel network and ruinous skyline. Multiple nodes—mobile, magnet-mounted modules—can be detached and reattached by participants across the conference, so the object changes shape over time (a material enactment of process thought). Surfaces receive layered metallic and iridescent patinas evoking monsoon light and literati ink-wash depth; selected fracture lines are mended with gold-toned brazing and visible conservation tags, explicitly documenting interventions. Small mirrored facets and laser-etched algorithmic seams reference AI patterning; recycled circuit fragments nestle like fossils. The piece is accompanied by a short conservation logbook and an invitation for curators, scholars and students to record decisions, making repair and restoration part of the sculpture’s ongoing event.
